Southern California Flat Track Associations' number one priority is safety. We work very hard at making safety number one. Here's a recognition letter from The Brett Downey Safety Foundation.

The Brett Downey Safety Foundation is a non-profit organization lead by a volunteer staff. The foundation is dedicated to increasing safety awareness of riders, parents of riders, track owners and promoters. Our goal is to make the sport of motocross as safe as possible.

The foundation has safety guidelines for tracks: Flaggers and EMT's present at every practice and race, supervised practices and clearly marked signs explaining the proper area to enter and exit the track.

Perris Raceway is a model track for the foundation. They not only adhere to the Brett Downey Safety Guidelines, but they exceed them. Perris Raceway has EMT's and flagger’s onsite for all practices and races. They have supervised practices and clearly marked signs for proper entering and exiting of the track. They have a track maintenance crew for watering and track prep. They have clearly marked signs explaining the track rules that they enforce. Perris Raceway puts safety first.

The Motocross magazine, Motocross West had a poll last year, where people voted for the safest track. The results of the poll were published and the people voted Perris Raceway the #1 safest track in Southern California.

The Brett Downey Safety Foundation thanks Perris Raceway for upholding the safety standards and being a leader in safety. Together we can make motorcycling safer.
